Michelle Hyde has been designing jewelry for over 3 years. Recently she decided to venture off and start her own handmade jewelry business, Two Palms Designs. As a mother of two and a school fundraiser volunteer, she found designing jewelry very enjoyable and calming. It has allowed her to enhance her creative skills and explore new ones. Her business experience in the business world prior to motherhood has helped her blend the two areas of interest.

She is inspired by vintage pieces, whether it’s vintage jewelry or antique furniture, she likes to find ways to combine the old with the new. She may use a vintage button that speaks a story and add it to a semi precious beaded bracelet. She may use an antique bird cage and add hooks to display her jewelry pieces. Adding a vintage flair makes her pieces ageless and unique.

Even though, Michelle is inspired by vintage designs, she’s always in touch with the the current fashion trends. Blending classic designs with trendy colors or re-purposing a material for a new jewelry trend is her love.

She only likes to use high-quality materials. She believes jewelry is meant to be worn everyday but looks like it’s been worn for the first time. It’s important to her that her client’s love for her jewelry and her jewelry’s durability last a very long time.

She has sold her jewelry at local vending events, fundraisers and markets, and ETSY, as well as has a few wholesale accounts with boutiques on Long Island, NYC, Florida, Washington and Texas. She appreciates every opportunity of expanding her business. She provides excellent customer service and assures her clients that they are working with a creative professional.
